Ethnic Studies
LARE has been working with Justice Vanguard in supporting the inclusion of an Ethnic Studies requirement in the MVLA School District. The district is looking at a proposed year-long Ethnic Studies course for Freshmen, starting in the Fall of 2023. There are still some Board Members who are hesitant about the curriculum being "controversial", so we will need to continue to voice our support for this proposal.
